An update on the things I plan on using / things that may hold promise.
Considering there has been a new rash of spammers, I figured Id go over the things Im looking at so that we can get the forum rolling in the right direction again. Here are the things Im either going to use quite soon, or things Im looking into trying. For the most part, I have been focusing so much on simply trying to treat the sp directly that I have not bothered to look at a bigger picture. A lot of the things I plan on trying from here on out have benefits well beyond what they may or may not do for sp. Im beginning to think that treating sp realistically may involve doing things that are good for the skin in general. Of course, treating the sp directly is still an important piece of the puzzle for me, but Im going to start trying a more multi angled approach. Anyway, on to the goods.
Internals
In the past, Ive looked over internals figuring none could be effective enough to treat something like sp, but now I think that finding a good internal could be as useful as finding a good topical. Heres the things Im looking at.
Curcumin / Resveratrol-Curcumin is rather well known as a potent herbal antioxidant and anti inflammatory. Im starting to think that part of the sp puzzle involves micro inflammations in the skin helping to squeeze close the sebaceous duct. Curcumin is one of those amazing multipurpose supplements that, among other things, is known to cut oil production in the skin a bit. I plan on taking this, as well as resveratrol for an synergistic effect starting the end of this week.

Ecklonia Cava Extract- There are a few different kinds of ECE, but the most pure and powerful one on the market right now is one called Algoran. Simply stated, this stuff is one of the most, if not the most potent antioxidant you can buy right now. If I had to choose only one supplement to take, it would be Alogoran. Only problem is that, with shipping, it would cost about $30 a month to use. Im not going to bother to list all the benefits of this stuff, as it would take forever, but feel free to look around this site:

Hyaluronic acid / Papain-In the past, I roasted people on the forum for wanting to use papain, but I think I was wrong on that one. Anyway, hyaluronic acid is an amazing skin supplement. I have used it on the past, and it will plump your skin and make it look amazing. Papain, taken internally, will help to break down dead fibrotic entities. What I think, is that if you were to take a double daily dose of hyularonic acid to plump up the skin and help it retain moisture, and used papain as a means of helping to break down the clogs in the sebaceous ducts, you may be able to free up some space for sebum to get through. Of course, this is entirely based on the thought that sp is caused by hardened keratin psuedocysts forming in the sebaceous duct, so take it with a certain grain of salt. In any case, this is something I will likely try before the end of the year.

Topicals
Snail Serum-This stuff is supposed to be amazing in regards to skin conditions. Many of the big name expensive creams, and creams like the BioSkinCare line, use snail serum as its main ingredient. The enzymes and compounds in snail serum are said to break down fibrotic tissue and help build new tissue. If the theory that hardened keratin inside the sebaceous duct is to blame for the blockage therein, then this kind of action could prove very beneficial. Theres only a few places that sell pure snail serum on the net, and its fucking expensive (something like $80 for less than 4 ounces), so while I have the more hope for this topical than anything else, its just too expensive for me to try right now. I am, however, ordering the bar soap with snail extract in it, just to see how well it keeps my mild occasional body acne at bay. If I was to choose one topical to try out, it would be this one.
http://www.bohemia-style.com/Bohemia-Style-Cosmetics-Pure-Snail-Serum-100-ML-Lotion-p-223.html
Papain-This ones a gamble. Papain is meat tenderizer, plain and simple, but it may hold some promise as a topical as far as breaking down dead keratin. It would have to be powder mixed with some kind of carrier oil (castor, emu), and only be left on for a little while before washed off. I dont have a clue how often you could use it, or how long you could actually leave it on, but it can be used as a topical. Again, using a powerful enztme on the skin is a gamble, and could make things worse, but it could also help a lot.
Licorice Root Extract Mix-This one is something Im working on as a means of cutting down body hair growth, but the same mechanisms that work for slowing body hair growth would work for slowing sebaceous activity. Plainly, this would be licorice root extract, peppermint oil, and maybe some non staining curcumin (if i can fond some, its hard as hell to come across) in a base of water and alcohol with something like DMI as an absorption assistant. This one ill definitely have done by the end of the year, so ill keep up with updates either way on it.
Those are the main things Im looking at, at the moment. Im not sure if any of them will work, as always, but I do plan on at least trying some. The one thing I want to try the most is the snail serum, but with shipping that will end up running me nearly $100. If anyone with some cash is looking to try some of these things out, definitely keep us updated. Ill update this thread as I find new things to add.

These look very promising, I would say at LEAST one may treat if not cure S.P. it looks as if you've done alot of research. Make sure you check that these will do you no harm and remember to report your results!

Very interesting and defiantly heading in the right direction. We will find a cure late_thought, but we must remember if we do, we must come back and spread it to every fucking SP forum on the internet!!

Re: An update on the things I plan on using / things that may hold promise.
Jojoba oil has done wonders for my hair and scalp. Seriously, if youre a man who has hair that isnt buzzed down, work some jojoba into your hair so that its saturated, soak up some of the excess with a paper towell, wrap a towell around your neck, and let it sit for like 10-30 minutes. After you rinse it out, I promise you, your hair will have never looked better.
As far as jojoba oil for sp, Ive tried it in the past, and while its a good moisturizer, thats all it really is. As long as you use it, itll plump up the skin a bit making some people's sp look a bit smaller, but I dont think it does much beyond that. Personally, I got tired of having greasy balls, and having joboba oil stains on my boxers, so I started using aloe instead. In my opinion, I like aloe much better, but I dont think either do much for the sp itself beyond softening the lumps and the surrounding skin a little. Then again, I only used jojoba oil for a month, twice a day, so maybe theres something to it I didnt experience.

ah thats a shame i was hoping jojoba oil would work. I have heard however that it works really well for the ones on your lips, so I will continue with that.

Re: An update on the things I plan on using / things that may hold promise.
does anyone have the money for the snail serum? Is anyone planning on trying it out as well? Let me know if you do, ill give it a shot in about 2-3 more weeks of tretinoin .1% use. I have seen very impressive results in the 1st week but unsure of where its going. Late i know we have had this talk in the past but I am a very late bloomer and there is no way in hell my penis is fully grown. Ive had pubic hair for years im 17 but not lots its been a small amount for awhile. Im not saying its not fully grown cause im unhappy with size, which I am but its just not fully grown my puberty has run VERY SLOWLY in all areas except height and voice.
Does applying topicals Ie in the past Benzoyl peroxide(when puberty 1st started and bumps came) and then applying CUSKIN for a month and now I am applying Tretinoin and possibly in the future snail serum(2weeks) or witch hazel. Do any of these stunt penis growth or puberty down there? I feel as if something has stunted and am now worried about applying anything to my penis. Hahah i know I rambled like no other but hey im a curious teenager who is covered in SP, thankyou any response is MUCH appreciated! thankyou

Re: An update on the things I plan on using / things that may hold promise.
I probably could buy a bottle of that snail serum, but at the price they want, Id want to use it on my face/ upper arms/ upper chest/ back rather than on my dick. I know that it would be useful in those places, but its anyones guess if itll do anything for sp, even if I have high hopes for it.
As far as stunting penile growth during puberty, things like snail serum and benzoyl peroxide arent going to do that at all. Things like witch hazel and TTO have been shown to cause gynomastia in younger boys (pre puberty) when applied topically, so those things you may want to be weary of, though Im not sure that it would do much of anything to someone your age. CuSkin, however, is designed as a topical antiandrogen, albeit a weak one. Do I think a months use of it stunted your penile growth? Not at all, but honestly, who knows what continued use of a topical antiandrogen on the genitals might do. Maybe taking a supplement that would increase testosterone would counter this, but increasing testosterone could cause issues as well. For all of us, regardless of age, using antiandrogens (or things that are estrogenic) on our junks may be risky business.
A lot of processes in the body may continue to develop well into your thirties. Body hair, foot size, and facial hair are things that very well could just keep going on and on slowly well into your adult life. Im 23, and Im just now getting anything resembling chest hair, not to mention I cant grow anything that resembles a full beard, or even a half beard for that matter. My best friend is 31, and his facial hair growth is as splotchy and uneven as mine. I dont believe that topical antiandrogens will stunt your penile growth at this point, though if you believe youve got some growing left to do, you can certainly hold off on applying antiandrogenetic/estrogenic substances for a few years yet. Will using weakly antiandrogenetic topicals here and there stunt growth? Probably not, but its anyones guess what will happen with long term use. Its all about listening to your body, and if your body tells you that something may be wrong, then sometimes its best to listen to it.

Yeah, peppermint oil is probably the most common natural anti androgen as far as topical use goes. Ive toyed with the idea of using it on and off for a while, but considering Ill be using licorice extract topically, I didnt really see any need to pick up peppermint. It would seem that licorice extract (the more powerful ones, that is. not the bottled ones you find more readily on google, the powdered ones you have to search for) has the same effect as peppermint, but it may also have a more permanent effect. Because formulations using licorice root extract have been shown to reduce body hair growth by something like 50% on what seems to be a permanent basis, I figured that it either regulates the androgen receptor at least on a longer lasting basis than most, or is cytotoxic to body hair follicles. Id take either one of those effects, less hair would be as welcome as less sp as far as Im concerned.
Something I am quite interested in finding is white curcumin. Curcumin will downregulate androgen receptor activity (which is part of the reason why I take it internally), and using it topically may prove very beneficial. Problem is that turmeric extract is an orangy yellow color, and would stain your skin (not permanently, but if youre using it regularly, then your dick will be that color on a permanent basis). White curcumin is tetrahydrocurcumin I believe, and as it is only one part of what you would find in a normal turmeric/curcumin extract, it doesnt carry the orange pigment. One thing to keep in mind is that ASC-J9, what very well may be the most powerful substance capable of androgen receptor degredation (possible more effective than isotretinoin), is based on curcumin. In my personal opinion, ASC-J9 is the single greatest hope for permanently reducing/eliminating sp that we have, and if theres a way to use something like white curcumin extract to replicate its effects to even a small degree, then the wait till ASC-J9 is FDA approved for the market wont seem so bad.

I came across this, and I figured Id post it for the sake of it. Its a smaller bottle of snail serum than the last one I posted, and its only 20$.
http://www.shopnewzealand.co.nz/en/cp/For_Acne_Scars
Now, this stuff isnt all natural like the other larger more expensive one, and it probably wouldnt last you more than a month, but as Ive stated, snail serum is the one topical Id like to try most. I dont know when Ill be able to pick up a bottle of that good stuff, but this stuff is more accessible for anyone wanting to give it a shot.
