Laser Surgery

Post  loonydude on Sun May 31, 2009 9:21 am

Has anyone tried any laser surgery? I have an appointment with my dermatologist in a week and I am considering doing some type of laser surgery on my SP. Has anyone tried it? What were the results?

there was a small handful of people who have had laser surgery on their sp. one said he got it, and stayed smooth for a while, then they came back. one said he only got them half done, and i dont recall hearing an update on it at any point after. mysterio, a member who is posting here as well, has also gotten the zap zap done. those are 3 that i can think of, though im sure theres more.

i remember one guy who got laser hair removal (different laser, same principle), and ended up getting a really big hyperpigmentation patch. try hittiing up the old forums search function if youre looking for more info.

Mate ask your dermatologist about Photodynamic Therapy. I've discussed it in another thread but it would be interesting to get a response from a dermatologist. It seems a lot safer than the CO2 lasers etc as well.

agreed, someone should look into it. the only problem is that it sounds like its a rather specialized procedure, and itll be hard to A) find a place that does it, and B) find a place that will do it to a dick.

I tried an erbium yag laser on fordyce spots but it did nothing. I got it done at the Birmingham hospital. I dont think they could give full power on the foreskin because I think I remember him saying the skin on the foreskin was too thin. On the lip it did nothing after the scab went away. One thing though I am never going to put a laser to my lips again as I was so nervous and Id rather live with the spots on my lip rather than a scar however much I hate them. The reason I didn't ask to try it on my sp was because at that time my sp was very minimal and you couldn't really notice it. How things have changed!

bad news

Post  qwrtyuiop on Fri Jun 05, 2009 9:10 pm

Recently I went to a urologist and a laser specialist in order to get it removed. However they both said that the bad sides of laser treatment outweigh the pros i.e. it can cause scar tissue and lead to erectile problems and they said that it really wasn't worth the risk.
