Laser hair removal
I have small hairs growing out of my spots and according to this study a laser hair removal will decrease the size of the sebaceous glands and increase the excretion of sebum = less trapped sebum = smaller or no bumps. Because of that I am considering getting a laser hair removal. I have contacted a hospital in Denmark where I live and I was told that they can remove hairs on the penis. My hope is that the hair removal also will make the bumps smaller. Can you think of any reason not to try this.

What do you think about this? I am considering getting a job so I can earn enough money to try this. Does anyone know for a fact why we have the bumps? What exactly is it that we can see? Is it because of the hair follicles, sebaceous glands, too much sebum or too much keratin that we have the bumps? If the sebaceous glands and hair follicles didn't produce any sebum or keratin would we then still have the bumps? If someone can answer these questions we might be much closer to a cure.

Re: Laser hair removal
jimmiandersen, you're answering your own question here.
What you've mentioned is as far as we know too. Yes we produce too much sebum, yes it's blocked by keratin. It's as far as us WE know......
Every hair follicle needs to be lubricated by sebum and keratin is the building block of a hair follicle. It's a mess up. If you could get rid of the hair follicle and surrounding tissue (sebaceous gland) then you might stand a chance, but the cells around the hair follicle carry the information (the DNA code) to reproduce the whole structure of the hair follicle again. That's truly how complex it is. A positive on a different note is that our sebaceous gland cells may carry the fundamental secrets for keeping the skin from ageing (re=generating itself, that's how robust it is).
My reply to you would be to get a job (FULL STOP) and do what ever experiments / surgeries YOU want to without asking a forums opinion (notice the irony here) wether you should get a job, we're all guinea pigs here and if you find a cure then tell us.
All the best.
