Okay, it's been long enough. It's working.

Post  dirtridr on Thu Jun 16, 2011 5:28 pm

So guys, I have been using this method for around a month and a half now. It's very simple actually. I use a combination of two treatments. The spots are pretty much invisible and every time I do the OCM more "stuff" comes out. Here's how to clear your SP up. Many members here were right about going topical. I was focusing on internal treatment, but when I directed my energy to topical I began to dig information up.

This thread is not for me to explain everything to you guys. I'm not going to baby you, learn to use google, but I will answer any questions that you have. Here are the methods and some tips.

1. OCM: First, read about it http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com/ OCM works with the concept of oil dissolves oil (castor + jojoba dissolves sebum/keratin). I do a mix of 50% castor and 50% jojoba. You will have to find the right ratio for your skin. Make sure the castor oil is COLD PRESSED and pure. Go out and buy baby washcloths for the steaming. I use to do OCM everyday, but now it's more like every other day. You will see the sebum coming out of the skin, no joke! Rub in gentile, circular motions until the skin feels minorly irritated then stop. Over rubbing the skin will cause more sebum production. Remember to steam all the oil off. NOTE: Immediately after OCM your SP WILL look worse because of the gunk the OCM is bringing to the surface of the skin.

2. Aspirin Mask: This is what I saw the most improvement from. Go to the store and buy UNCOATED aspirin and the most PURE aloe vera gel you can find. If it's not at least 99% pure don't buy it. Trader Joes is where I got mine. Take 3-4 aspirin and mix with aloe vera gel until you get a paste. Apply to your junk and leave it for 30 mins. Then, turn some hot water on and slowly exfoliate the skin in circular motions. The aspirin mask is salicylic acid which is a BHA. This means the the aspirin literally goes into the pores and dissolves sebum, when your exfoliate you rub the sebum out. I do this every other day.

The results? My SP is 98% clear and I saw noticeable improvement after a week or two. Treatment has cost around 25 dollars for me. This was always one of the communities that I felt most passionately about, and I'm glad to be here with you guys today!

Much Love,

Dirtridr

Okay here are some pics. I'd say I went from an 8 to a 6 then after the OCM/mask to a 2-3. They continue to fade. You can also see the fading in the pics. This is after about 1.5 months. I have heard people say it takes about 4 months to unblock the pores, but I think you have to continue to keep them unblocked. If anything the aspirin mask. The problem is our pores and small and our sebum is thick so the pores get clogged.

Anyway, here are the images, I only wish I took before pictures cheers :

I've just bought some 100% pure AV gel and some dispersable (uncoated) aspirin from eBay and will be trying this out. I'll also take some 'before' photos and keep everyone updated.

Sounds good, but that's only half the treatment! You need to OCM as well to "purge" the pores. The aspirin mask brings the "gunk" (sebum) to the surface and the OCM dissolves the sebum, so they work synergistically and complementary. You can find the oils at a health food store (i.e whole foods, sprouts, trader joes (though they don't have castor oil), etc)

Cold-pressed castor/jojoba now ordered Wink

Edit: I hope that this is something that eventually has to be done less and less often - starting everyday, then going every other day (like you've done). Thoughts?

Yes, in fact, after a few months it will be best to leave you skin alone because it has the means to heal itself. I think the aspirin mask will be necessary at least once a week, but we will see. Everyone keep us updated! I hope it works as well for everyone as well as it's working for me Cool

i have never heard of an aspirin mask so i 'youtubed' it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-Hksg8B4cQ

Now, i'm still on my nizoral/dermo K treatment (earlier post), and i'm going to proceed, but if that treatment doesn't please me, im going to try this one.

Now in the youtube movie, the girl says at the end 'your skin will grow tolerant'. I hope that doesnt mean that the treatment does not work anymore after a while...

But i'm quite sure that i'm going to try this. Keep me posted! thanks for the dedication guys!

Hey dirtridr,

I should tell you that this thread made me register here at last.

So, I need:
-COLD PRESSED and pure castor oil
-Jojoba oil
-UNCOATED aspirin
-At least 99% pure aloe vera gel
-Baby washcloth

I live in a "third world" country and I already know it will be hell to find these. I will go out tomorrow and try to find all of them. If I can't find something, I'll have to wait till a friend comes back from the UK. No
Once I get them, I'll come back to your original post and follow it word by word.
I will check this thread daily and update for everything. Hope this cures mine.

In my experience, 'will grow/become tolerant' is only a temporary thing. I mean, you can't take acid every day because you're body becomes tolerant - wait a short while and you're good to go again.

Yes, that's unfortunate because I live in the states where everything is at hand. You could also order the products online like Bruce did.

She just simply means that you can only exfoliate so much skin.

Most of the information I get about unblocking the pores, OCM, and aspirin mask is on the Essential Day Spa forum. The search feature is your friend! Feel free to browse around! Hell, make a post if you'd like! http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/
