So, Wiki says Jojoba oil helps.

Fordyce Spots

"Jojoba oil, Tocopherol and Argania extract have also been linked to the successful treatment of Fordyce's spots."

Looking at the pictures on the site, I have no reason to think that Fordyce is any different from SP. That being said, I'm curious as to why I've never heard of any these as treatments being used. Does anyone have any experience with them? If not, well, we should really get cracking!

Do a search on the old board. It has been discussed plenty of times. You have to remember also that Wiki entries are not official and anyone can write shit there. Did you see a reference anywhere supporting jojoba oil on SP?

ive tried jojoba oil and i thought it made them smaller but after two weeks there was no other improvement.

it was only £4 for a bottle off eBay though so worth a try.

For those with fordyce on the lips, I googled something along the lines of fordyce spots and jojoba oil and eventually saw that one woman claimed that after 6 months of treatment every few days the bumps on her lips eventually came to the surface and she removed them for good. I don't know how different our condition is. I apologize for the late reply.

There was someone in the old forum who said that he used Jojoba oil and that they made them seem more prominent, as in the spots moved upward to the surface of the skin. He said that he Pieb'd them out with ease after that.

I think some of us who are having trouble Piebing may have too much skin over/around the spots, and may need something like Jojoba oil to bring the spots up to the surface of the skin, or Salactol to thin the skin out through peeling.

I have only been able to successfully PIEB one spot, which happened to be a rare one in that it was denser, whiter, and more on the surface of my skin. With other spots, I just bled a lot without being able to extract any sebum.
